The 2018 Panamera is one of the most prolific vehicles in the Porsche lineup, with a variety of different models. The entry Panamera is equipped with a turbocharged V6 engine that gives it a 0-60 mph time of just 5.4 seconds, while the range-topping Panamera 4S Executive adds a second turbocharger to its V6 to reduce its 0-60 mph time to a swift 4.3 seconds.
Porsche also offers several models of the Panamera E-Hybrid, which combines the engine of the original Panamera with an electric motor and all-wheel drive to enhance the model’s performance.
Finally, Porsche produces a range of Panamera Turbo models, which add twin-turbocharged V8 engines and all-wheel drive for the best performance of the Panamera lineup.
The entry-level Panamera engine, a 3.0-liter turbo V6, delivers 330 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque. Just above that is the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6, which boosts performance to 440 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque.
If even that isn’t enough power each Turbo model featuring a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that produces 550 horsepower and 567 lb-ft of torque.
The E-Hybrid versions add a 136-horsepower electric motor to both the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 and 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engines for a combined output of 462 horsepower and 680 horsepower, respectively.
With a wide range of models and an even wider range of power, the 2018 Porsche Panamera provides drivers with the exact driving experience to suit their tastes. This superior option is another vehicle in the Porsche lineup that attributes to why you’d want to invest in a luxury vehicle.
